Indigenous history is being erased year after year, at risk of being lost forever.

Women are imprisoned for life for defending themselves, and even for crimes they didn’t commit.

Verified News Network (VNN) was founded in Oklahoma to tell untold stories.

THE PROBLEM: State, local government and powerful individuals suppress minority voices in order to maintain the status quo. Their power was established and maintained through the creation and enforcement of outdated laws based on cultural bias.

Inequity is reinforced by a criminal justice system and privatized prisons that favor those who benefit from mass incarceration. The economic impacts garnered from attracting business and industry outweigh the need to publicize historical and community realities that could mar the attractiveness of our cities.

THE SOLUTION: Our platform facilitates the dissemination of professional, journalistic stories of suppressed voices to the national news ecosystem. We publish and share diverse perspectives and contextual truths unlike mainstream narrative mass media.

Through paid syndication partnerships with national news outlets, we are able to support verified grassroots journalism produced by VNN collaborators. To request more information on republishing VNN syndicated content, please fill out the form below.
